The intenet and design of the D Ring Bit with a Solid Mouthpiece is to facilitate lateral shoulder movement.

When a horse loses their impulsion from being over bent, in either direction, this design allows you to more easily move their shoulders laterally while keeping impulsion.

This includes the Solid Low Ports, Medium Ports and the Billy Allen Mouthpiece.

The Low Port and Medium Port Mouthpiece is available in 3/8" and the larger 1/2" diameter Mouthpieces. The smaller the diameter the increased possibility fo severity.

The differences between the Low Port and the Medium Port is based on the pressure points each design utilizes.

The Low Port creates more tongue pressure and the Medium Port has a suitable amount of tongue relief. The Medium Port applies more pressure to the lateral bar space.

The Low Port is a good step from the Don Dodge D Ring Snaffle or a shanked snaffle because it's still employing tongue pressure like the snaffle, but is a solid mouthpiece vs a broken mouthpiece.

The Medium Port is a very popular bit because many horses get along with lateral bar pressure.
