Function of D Ring with Solid Mouthpiece

The intent and design of the D Ring with a solid mouthpiece is to facilitate lateral shoulder movement.

When a horse loses their impulsion from being over bent, this mouthpiece design allows you, the rider, to more easily move their shoulders laterally while keeping impulsion.

This brand new design is available in 5 different options. The low port and medium ports are available in 3/8" and 1/2" mouthpiece diameters and the Billy Allen mouthpiece.

The smaller the diameter the increased possibility for severity. The point of pressure is more concentrated with the smaller diameter. The differences between the two bits is based on the pressure points they utilize with their designs.

The low port creates more tongue pressure, so less tongue relief.

The medium port allows for more tongue relief. The medium port is going to apply pressure to the lateral bar space.

No matter the mouthpiece, the ultimate responsibility for communication and level of severity are in the hands pulling on the reins.
